Gee Stonework are able to produce detailed reports on all projects, from historical stone conservations to small cottage repairs. A report is made to view the current state of a building or structure and to look at the original fabric of the materials used in its construction. Detailing the stone type, mortar type, jointing of masonry, plaster type etc gives a good understanding of the initial situation. We also look into the cause of a specific problem providing photographs along side text to make the report more understandable. From a report a specification is then made to view the method of repair and how it should be completed. A report and specification is good practice for even smaller projects to help clarify the works creating better overall economy.
